Bucher’s Fall Movie Night will take place on Wednesday, November 16th at 6 pm. The location will once again be Penn Cinema. Trolls is rated PG for some mild rude humor.

Visit the Scholastic Book Fair at Bucher Oct 4-7, 2016
When: Tuesday, October 4 – Friday, October 7
Where: Bucher Library
Volunteers needed to make the fair run smoothly! You must have your clearances to volunteer. Sign up here.
Come to the fair during the day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Your children can purcahse books during their class’ assigned time OR before school (8:30-9:00 am).
Come to the Fair at Night THIS Thursday, September 29th for Families at the Fair. Drop in from 5:30 -7:00 pm to visit our library for the Bookaneer Book Fair! Purchase books with and for your whole family. Hear Bucher staff members read their favorites. Participate in fun games and activities. Check out the teacher “Wish List” board to donate a book to your child’s classroom. Students receive a chance to win a poster from Scholastic for every adult they bring – 2 chances for every grandparent they bring!

Come join the Bucher PTO for a family friendly event. Games (new and old), prizes, photo booth, inflatable, raffles and much more! Back by popular demand, the iPad Mini Giveaway.
Scoops food truck will have food available for purchase.
Help wanted (click the link to the right). Putting on a great fall fling with fun activities for the kids requires a lot of helping hands. Please sign up to work a shift or two at the fair.
Cakes and bake sale items are wanted! Whether it’s store bought or baked at home, everyone loves to win a cake. Please sign up to donate a cake or baked goods (sign up on the right). Donations can be dropped off between 3-4 pm on Thursday or between 9 and 3:40 on Friday (October 14th) in the Bucher office.
Raffle Basket donations are also needed. If you would like to make a donation please return the form sent home with your child in the fall fair packet. Thank you!
On Friday September 9, 2016 the PTO will be hosting a Teacher and Staff Appreciation Breakfast in the Faculty Lounge. We take this opportunity to show our gratitude for all of the hard work the staff has put in to get the school year off to a wonderful start.
We kindly ask that you consider donating one or more of the items listed to help make this breakfast a success. Items can be dropped off in the office on Thursday September 8th in the morning until 9am and then from 3:30 to 4pm in the afternoon. Please mark your item for the Staff Appreciation Breakfast.

You likely received a letter with most of this information in the mail last week. If you missed it, here are some important dates to remember as we move through August and closer to the start of school.
August 12: Teacher Assignment Postcards will be mailed to parents
August 17: New Family Open House 10 am – 12 pm
- The PTO will provide tours for students and parents through the building to see important rooms like the cafeteria, gym, library, and classrooms! Any new students (grades k-4) are invited to walk through the building during this open house.
August 25: Ice Cream Social, Bucher Cafeteria 6-7:30 pm
- Please join the PTO as we welcome our students back to school! Ice cream will be served in the cafeteria. Tis is an opportunity to meet and reconnect with friends. We will also have school supplies available as needed.
August 29: First day of school – grades 1-4, Kindergarten Open House.
August 30: First full day of Kindergarten
Also, mark your calendar for parent night on Wednesday, September 7 from 6:30-8:00 pm.
The first PTO meeting will take place on September 14 at 7 pm in the Bucher Library
The Manheim Township School District is please to announce that Bucher Elementary is serving free lunch to kids and teens from June 21- August 11 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays! Enter the school via the playground to participate. All kids and teens 18 years and younger EAT FREE!!!

No Enrollment, No Cost!
Adults may also eat for $3.75.

Bucher PTO invites you to join us at Penn Cinema on Wednesday June 22 at 6:00pm for a private showing of Finding Dory. Tickets are $6.00 each, a huge savings! Tell your friends and family members, and bring the neighbors, we have opened a second theater to make room for everyone!
We have extended the deadline for purchasing tickets.
Ticket orders will continue to be accepted until June 15th at the Bucher office. Tickets purchased after June 3rd will be available at the Bucher Office – call ahead for hours. Limited ticket availability.
Submit orders via your child’s teacher or the Bucher office (Attn: PTO Movie Night) – After June 8th, submit orders to Linda Swift at the Bucher office (you may want to call ahead for hours).
