Volunteer Open House April 22, 7-8 pm
The PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) and all events, fundraisers, and activities planned by the PTO are made possible through the efforts of volunteers. If you have an interest in assisting, any efforts or time you can dedicate would be helpful. Just a little bit of time can make a huge impact! We will be hosting a volunteer night at Bucher on Tuesday, April 22 from 7-8 pm. Please consider stopping by to meet other volunteers and let us know of your interest and ability to join us! Any bit helps and you are not obligated to fulfill a large role, though we are always looking for people interested in leading our organization.
- Students will get to Preview the books with their classes on Friday, Oct. 14th so they can make a “wish list” of what they’d like to buy. Volunteers will help the younger children record their ‘wish list’.
- Students will visit the Fair during their class’s normal library time during the week of Oct 17-21 and can purchase at that time.
- Parents can purchase during the day or with their students during the Fall Fling on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 5:30-7:30pm. This is also a great time to check out the “Teacher Wishlist” board to help your child’s teacher build his/her classroom library. And don’t forget to help the Bucher Library grow by donating “Librarian Pick” books or donating your spare change at the check out!
During Parent – Teacher Conference Week, our PTO Hospitality Team takes the time to prepare a special Thank You Dinner for the Teachers one evening, November 9th. It helps us all keep in mind the long hours our teachers put in at the school and at home to plant the seeds of knowledge in our children and to communicate with us because they care. The Hospitality Team cannot do it without the aid of volunteers to set-up, clean-up and to contribute dishes to the meal. If you’d like to volunteer your time to thank our teachers for theirs, please contact Hospitality Chairperson, Christine Taliani.
