On Friday September 9, 2016 the PTO will be hosting a Teacher and Staff Appreciation Breakfast in the Faculty Lounge. We take this opportunity to show our gratitude for all of the hard work the staff has put in to get the school year off to a wonderful start.
We kindly ask that you consider donating one or more of the items listed to help make this breakfast a success. Items can be dropped off in the office on Thursday September 8th in the morning until 9am and then from 3:30 to 4pm in the afternoon. Please mark your item for the Staff Appreciation Breakfast.

Bucher Do Dads – 2016
Please sign up to help donate items for Bucher’s DO DADS celebration in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. The event is on Wednesday March 2, 2016 (any delay or no school, event will move to Wednesday March 9, 2016).

THE SIGN UPS ARE FOR EACH GRADE LEVEL. If your child is in a Support Classroom, please sign up to donate for their grade level. We will use donated items for the Support Classes as well. I will organize the supplies and get them to each classroom. (Donuts are already arranged by the Bucher PTO.)

Hello everyone! The Holiday Shoppe will be next week Tuesday, December 8th through Thursday, December 10th. Each class has signed up for a time slot so the students can come in and make holiday purchases. We need your help to assist the students in making these purchases. You must have your clearances to be able to volunteer.
We have one-hour slots available each of these days. Please make sure you DO NOT sign up for the time that your child will be making their purchases, as this will be a surprise for you!

In celebration of Thanksgiving, who better to thank than our wonderful teachers and staff?
On November 23rd, our school is going to say thanks by providing a dinner to our teachers and staff, handmade with love, by our Bucher parents and students.
Please consider donating your time, food, or supplies to help make this event successful! We know many of you already donate in so many ways, so you are now obligated to participate.

Tickets are on sale now, send in your form with payment or purchase at the door. You can also order food in advance (order forms were sent home). In order to make these events great, we need volunteers to help at the games and the raffle tables.

WINTER WONDERLAND! The flurries were flying last week and that can only mean one thing…The Winter Wonderland is just around the corner. We invite you to come and create some cool, wintry crafts with your family and friends at Bucher on December 11 from 5:30-7:00 pm. We’ll be making Snowman Magnets, Beaded Ornaments and more. Back by popular demand is the Decorate-your-own-Cookie station. And don’t forget to bring your camera so you can snap lots of pictures in our Winter Wonderland Photo Booth…complete with lots of fun props. If you are interested in helping out with the Winter Wonderland, please email Jenn Shirk at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Big thanks to all the photographers among us who are diligently taking pictures of classroom parties and events. Please hold onto them until you hear from Kerry how and when pictures should be submitted.

The Fall Bucher Book Fair will take place on Monday Sept 29 – through Oct 3. The book fair will be held in the Bucher Library and will be open before school. Classes will visit during the week – you should receive information from your student about their scheduled date and time to visit the book fair.

Family night will be held on Monday September 29th from 5:30 – 7:30 in the library. At that time, there will be other family activities (description to follow as the date gets closer).

The faculty and staff appreciation breakfast will be held on Thursday, September 11th. To sign up to contribute, visit our Sign up Genius event page. We have decided on a Fiesta theme and look forward to spicing up the Appreciation Breakfast. Please note, we are requesting delivery of all items, except for the fruit and egg dishes, on Monday, before and after school, and/or Wednesday, before and after school. Please bring the fruit and egg dishes on Thursday morning, from 7:30 – 7:50 a.m. Jennifer Meglic is the event coordinator.
Volunteer Open House April 22, 7-8 pm
The PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) and all events, fundraisers, and activities planned by the PTO are made possible through the efforts of volunteers. If you have an interest in assisting, any efforts or time you can dedicate would be helpful. Just a little bit of time can make a huge impact! We will be hosting a volunteer night at Bucher on Tuesday, April 22 from 7-8 pm. Please consider stopping by to meet other volunteers and let us know of your interest and ability to join us! Any bit helps and you are not obligated to fulfill a large role, though we are always looking for people interested in leading our organization.
