Stop 1: Belair Townhomes (the bus will park at the corner of Coventry Rd. and Candlewyck) 10 am

A message from Principal Martin:
“Thank you to all students, parents, and staff for the contributions you are making to the Bucher community on a daily basis. These contributions have made for an easy transition into this role within the district. As we have just passed the mid-year mark, I am hoping to gather information so I can continue to best serve the needs of our community. I would appreciate you taking the time to answer questions to evaluate my performance thus far. I will be using it to work with staff and make considerations for personal and school-wide goals moving forward. Your contact information is optional and there is also an opportunity at the end of the survey if you desire to speak to me further about any of your responses.”
Bucher Elementary Spring Session 2: Space Adventures
Bricks 4 Kidz classes provide an extraordinary atmosphere for children, where we learn, we build, we play… with LEGO® bricks. Programs are built around our proprietary model plans, designed by engineers and architects, with exciting themes such as space, construction, and amusement parks. Our specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide the building blocks for the Bricks 4 Kidz approach to educational play. At Bricks 4 Kidz, we believe that kids learn best through activities that engage their curiosity and creativity.
Begins: Thu, March 17, 2016
Thu, April 21, 2016
3:45 pm – 4:45 pm
Many children dream of being an astronaut and traveling to space, so Bricks 4 Kidz created an entire unit around space! Each week, students will learn about real-life space exploration and build a new model related to the NASA space program. Models include a satellite, a lunar module, a centrifuge which astronauts use to prepare for the physical sensations of launch, a treadmill which astronauts use to stay fit in space, and a “space robot”. During this unit, students will learn some of the science behind launching things into orbit, will hear about the most-distant man-made object in the universe, and discuss what it is like to be an astronaut in space. Are you a budding astronaut? An adventurer who loves space exploration? Then you’ll love our Space theme projects. We’ll be building NASA astronaut training equipment, a space robot and more! Let Bricks 4 Kidz launch your imagination to outer-space and beyond.
*This class is designed for grades 1-4, if your child is in Kindergarten please contact Matt at Bricks 4 Kidz
In case you missed it, school buses could be delayed. This afternoon, remember that many of the buses are at other MTSD schools before they head to Bucher. This could delay buses from arriving at Bucher, and could delay your child getting home, even if their route isn’t impacted.
ATTN: Buses Could Be Delayed Due to Road Closure:
Due to the indefinite closure of Landis Valley Road over Route 222, please be aware that bus transportation could be delayed, particularly for those neighborhoods that surround this part of Manheim Township. We are working with the MTPD to make sure all buses have access to our neighborhoods, however please be patient as our drivers navigate around the detours and traffic.
